NOTES OF THE TURF. Sweet Owen and New Idea were sold br auction Wednesday in front of the Covington Kv. City Building by Deputy Sheriff Clarence Roberts. The sale was the outcome of a suit brought by I. H. Wheateroft against J. T. Williams. Sweet Owen brought 00 and New Idea 50. Yesterday at the Western meeting at Ayr. Scotland. II. P. Whitneys bay filly, by Adam Wild Thyme, won the Juvenile Handicap of 200 sovereigns, for two-year-olds, at five furlongs, with the Set Fair filly secoud and Questa II. third. Five rau. j
