OTILO, after lcing the closest contender for the first half mile, wore ELIZABETHAN down in the last sixteenth and won going away. The latter showed the most speed and set the pace to the stretch, hut tired as if short when hard ridden. SANDSPIT ran well throughout and showed sudden improvement. BALRONIA had a rough trip. YANKER v.orked his way up gradually from a slow beginning and. passing IRISHTOWN, came away in the stretch to win in a canter. IRISHTOWN showed the most early speed and set the pace fast for the going, hut Urcd when challenged in the stretch. BOUNCING LASS ran well and was gaining at the end. STEEFLE-1AC1C went fairly well. ETHELDA showed much speed in pacemaking. hut tired in the stretch drive. HIGH RANGE closed a gap and was host of the others. TACKLE and J. II. I5ARR showed speedy but quit. DISCONTENT closed a gap and was rnnniug fast at tlio end. SUPPLE began slowly aud closed a big gap in the last half. IIALDEMAX and RASH tired badly in the - last quarter after running prominently to the stretch. INCISION showed speed, hut quit.
