MARGARET RANDOLPH, away slowly, was far back for the first half, but came around the others on the outside .when entering the stretch and, finishing fast, responded gamely to punishment through the final furlong. MOSSBACK ran forwardly and, finishing with a rush, almost got up to win. MAIZIE GIRL, after bong squeezed out at the start, closed an immense gap into a fast gaining third. HEAD ran well LAURA CLAY set a fast pace to the stretch and quit badly. LORD CLINTON also quit after strenuous racing with LAURA CLAY. CHANTICLOR ran forwardly from the start and made a game finish. ROBERTA showed speed and the race will probably do her goal. The others were outpaced. LADY RANKIN ran a remarkable race, was sharply cut off by ROYAL TEA just before reaching the liair-r.ule post and losing many lengths, then, under a good ride, came down tho center of the track and, showing great gameness under punishment, got up to win in the last stride. ROYAL TEA set a fast pace, but began to tire when caught by the winner. YMIR came from far back In the last quarter. MANDADERO showed much early speed, but tired finally. PAAVHUSKA was best and ran a game race, but suffered through Interference. LADY MACY ran a good race and finished fast-and gamely.
