EXCITING FINISHES AT COEUR DALENE. Spokane, Wash., October 20.f A card lacking in special features was offered this afternoon, but the ruclng more than made amends. Every race was hotly contested, especially, the fourth, when an oven half dozen horses finished heads and necks apart. Elgin won in a furious .drive from Stoneman and Johnstown, witlt Edna Stewart, Figent and Ueoue W. all in a bunch behind them. The same thing happened in the fifth. Marburg, Fred Mulholland and Quick Trip all finishing noses apart, after having been driving for a quarter of a mile. It was ladies dav and the fair sex turned out in large numbers.
