LABOLD went into a long lead at once and won all the way with speed In reserve. McIVOR ran forwardly, but bad to be hard ridden near the end to outstav DONCASTER for second place. The latter closed a big gap from a slow beginning and finished with a rush. LILY PAXTON, away slowly, closed a great gap and ran a good race. RAMAZAN ran well and may do better at a longer distance. CEORGE OXNARD began slowly, but moved up witli a rush after going three furlongs and drew out decisively in the stretch. ROSE OF JEDDAH showed the most early speed and stayed well in the final drive. ISLAND QUEEN ran in closest pursuit to the stretch and tired In the last furlong. TOURIST tired badly after going five furlongs. MARY EMILY ran fairly well. SIR ALVESCOT, hard ridden from the start, gradually wore JOHN GRIFFIN II. down and finally outstayed Iim in a gamely contested finish. JOHN GRIFFIN II. showed his customary high early speed and made the pace fast, but tired near the end of a good race. AMORET was forced to go wide, but ran well arid linished fast and gamely. VILEY tired after showing much early speed. THREE LINKS also showed early sneed, but quit in the stretch. The rider on UNION JACK was unseated at the post when he, was bumped Into. LITTLE FATHER ran a consistent race and only tired slightly near the end. GROVER HUGHES was outpaced all the way. but finished resolutely ami close up. LOVE-NOT tired after going five furlongs of fast pacemaking. MERIDIAN showed speed, but tired and probably needed a race. CHERRYOLA was always badly outpaced. CAMEL showed much speed in pacemaking, but tired and swerved when punished in the stretch. EFFENDI showed improvement and, closing a gap, was going fast at the end. OLD HONESTY finished well and probably is returning to good form. WING TING ran sluggishly throughout. HIGH RANGE and ELIZABETHAN showed speed, but tired.
