The latter closed a gap and, coming through fast on the Inside, finished gamely. DOUBLE FIVE ran well and hung on longer than usual. GRENIDA closed a big gap from a slew beginning and finished close up. CARDIFF and CHILTON TRANCE ran prominently to the stretch and tired.
