NOTES OF THE TURF. j George M. Odotn is making a brief visit to his homo, in Brooklyn prior to departure for Juarez, where his horses will race tho coming winter. Cavero, owned by Frank J. Gould, finished second in the Prix Voilicrs hurdle of 00, distance one and three-quarters miles, which was run over the Auteuil course in France Thursday. Harry Payne Whitneys two-year-old chestnut flally Paradise, by Adam Handspun, ran second in the Rangemore Maiden Stakes of 100 sovereigns at tho Derby meeting in England Wednesday. J. E. Wideners Avenue ran second in the Prix de Onyx at Vincennes, in France, Wednesday. Parfre-metit had the mount and five horses ran. Harry La Mnntagires Roono, ridden by OLeary, won the Prix Odessa, in which eight horses ran. The special horse train from Latonia to Juarez reached its destination Thursday afternoon, four hours behind schedule time. With: the exception or a yearling that was taken sick and left at Pallas, all of the horses arrived at Juarez in good condition.
