i j 1 , 1 . : NOTES OF THE TURF. Capt. J. T. Williams will erect a monument to mark the grave of Governor Cray at his Stockwood Farm, near Spring Station, Kentucky. J. S. Evermau. who has charge of the big racing string at Latonia of F. J. Pons, one of tho promoters of the race meeting at Charleston, S. C. has received a letter from his employer stating that the outlook is very good for racing at Columbia, and that if Mr. Everman chose to race there till the Charleston meeting opens, lie would be at liberty to do so. He probably will ship to Columbia shortly.
