BUYS BROODMARES FOR MR. VANDERBILT. London, Eng.. December S. There was a sale of broodmares at Newmarket this week Marcolina, by Marco, brought 000 guineas; Kings Favor, by Persimmon. 800 guineas; Joyce, by Macintosh, 300 guineas, and La Mousse, by Ladas. 1,300 guineas. All these mares were purchased by an American named McDonald for William K. Vanderbilt and they will go to France.
