Through purchase from Thomas Piatt today, the yearling sister to Colonel Bob and Arionctte, by Cesarion Fonsolette, was added to the string of G. W. J. Bissell. of Pittsburg, in charge of James P. Ross at tho Kentucky Association track. Max A. Silvers is here to buy and ship to New York for export to South America by December 1G, a carload of broodmares and yearlings, The seven yearling fillies that were Iwught at. the recent sale in his name arc for the jockey club at Lima, Peru. Such as Silvers will now buy are for his own trade at Valparaiso, Chill. Before coining here from New York Mr. Silvers bought the mare, Heather-down, in foal to Fair Play, from W. L. Powers.
