, J. R. WAIN WRIGHTS STABLE RECORD FOR 1911 + : + J. R. Wainwrlght did pretty well in 1910 with stable earnings of 4.40.8. but he improved considerably over this showing in Pill with the better aggregate of 8,7o4. His principal winner was the really high-class gelding. High Private, but Royal Captive. Al Muller. Intrinsic. Trance and Short Order were also useful winners of more than SI, 00 . High Privates infirm legs have given much trouble and it required skillful i raining to keep him going, but the right soi t of training was forthcoming ami more than once High Private showed himself capable of contending with the best bones campaigned in handicaps in Kentucky and Canada. The speed] mare. Royal Captive raced productively and with eight firsts in races lo her credit finished next to High Private in the matter of monej won. The sturdy old campaigner, Al Mill.-r. did all that could reasonabl] have been expected from him and was bat little behind Royal Captive In winning-. After winning three consecutnc races Trance fell lame and had to lie retired. Had this extraordinarily fast mare remained tit to race throughout the campaign of 1911 it is quite probable she in stead of High Private would now figure as the chief bread winner of the Waiawright stable. In the racing of recent years, few mole exciting incidents cropped up than the remarkable duel between Trance and Fitz Herbert la Which a series of bitterly contested linishes left honors about even between the pair when they K ere tWO-year-olds.
