WANT STALLION FEES RETURNED. Lexington, Ky., January 15. — Under the Kentucky statutes, the owner of any stallion standing for service in this state is required to pay. in addition to taxes on the animal, the amount of his service fee a-- sn annual license. A committee of horsemen ol which Mai S. Cohen, of this city, is chairman. lias drafted s bill that is intended to put this money into the hands of horsemen and farmers, and it will be presented this week to the legislature for enactment. The bill stipulates that all such money collected by the county clerks shall be paid over snnnaily to the county fair associations to be distributed as premiums for horses of the various breeds. In the event there is no county fair, the money collected in such counties shall be paid to the State Fair Association. The collection in Fayette i ounty will run Into thousands of dollars annually.
