GOOD PROGRESS AT HAVRE DE GRACE New York July 13 Work on the new track at Havre de Grace is progressing so satisfactorily that a meeting in September seems assured The track trackE E roper is just about completed and the work of uilding stables and other structures is about to be begun The application for racing dates must be made to the County Commission that lias charge of the sport in that section of Maryland The sanc ¬ tion requestedThe of the Jockey Club will also be requested The promoters will use every endeavor to obtain the confidence of horsemen and the racing public by having the services of high class otlicials It is pro ¬ posed to have Christopher Fitzgerald for presiding judge W S Vosburgh handicapper C Cornehlson clerk of the scales and Philip J Dwyer president of the Brooklyn Jockey Club lias been requested to toFermit Fermit Fred Uehberger to serve as racing secretary t was hoped that Mars Cassidy or A B Dade could be induced to do the starting but as both of these officials will be employed at the time Mr Cassidy In Kentucky and Mr Dade in Canada some other will have to be chosen chosenThe The government of the ring will be in the hands of John G Cavauagh who has had charge of like affairs at the local tracks for many years
