CHERRYOLA GOES TO THE STUD Good Mare Has Bowed Tendon Jockey Peak Enters Employ of G J Long Louisville Gossip Louisville Ky August 1 T P Hayes will ship next Thursday to race at Lexington La Mode Done rail Hatouch Katrine Kimnundy and Karl of Savoy All of the Hayes youngsters apparently have speod speodTrainer Trainer Haieigh Colston has applied for stall room at Douglas Park for Princess Callaway an eligibl for the Douglas Park Inaugural Handicap Steeple ¬ jack and the twoyearold Feilowman The Colston string is now at Lexington and will be shipped to Douglas Park as soon as the coming fall meeting there is over Other turfmen who applied for stall room at Douglas Iark today were William Hrown who has two horses and the veteran trainer John Knilvgap who has ten horses including Hazel Burke BurkeW W M Scott and his jn who have long been em ¬ ployed around the local tracks in the building of stables returned today from Madison Tenn where they finished several tine stables On the farm of F J Pons near that city cityCherryola Cherryola arrived today from Hutte Mont where J T Ireland has had the mare in training She lias been turned over temporarily to George M Odom but he will ship her in a few days to Catesby Wood ford her owner at Haceland Farm to be retired lo the stud She has a bowed tendon As a three yearold Cherryola raced brilliantly but she lias never since quite returned to the form she showed at that age although she has occasionally run some gixid races racesJockey Jockey C Peak has severed his relations with K F Carman and been engaged to ride the horses of George J Long in the event that the suspension now against him is lifted so that he can accept mounts this fall He is now galloping the Long horses iit the Downs and trainer Pete Coyne lias the rider under his care
