REGULATIONS GOVERNING REGISTRATION Horses foaled in the United States or Canada must be registered with the Registry OUice Nos 5 and S East 40th street New York City by Novem ¬ ber 1 of the year in which they were foaled If it be proved to the satisfaction of the stewards of the Jockey Club that the failure of registration be unln tenticiuil or ccidental such registration may be permitted by the payment of a fine of 10 for the registration provided such application be made on or before December 31 of each year And if after said date upon the payment of u fine of 50 for each registration The registration shall comprise the name if any the color and marks if any whether a horse mare or gelding and the name of its sire and dam If the dam was covered by more than one stallion the names or description in full must be stated The registration fee is 2 for each animal which will include certificate certificateOnly Only horses are eligible for registry under this rule which have either five uucontamiiuitcd thor ouglibnd crosses or which authentically trace through or to animals recorded Iu the American Stutl Book or in a recognized Stud Book of another country countryA A naiu6 must be claimed through the Registry Oliice of the Jockey Club for each and every horse on or before March I of its twoyearold year In case a horse is not named prior to Marcli 1 of its twoyearold year it may be dulv named upon payment of u fine of 5l if name is claimed and allowed at least two days lief ore day of starting startingNo No name that has been employed during the previous live years either in the stud or on the turf shall be duplicated nor can a name be claimui for any Jiorse not registered as a foal foalNo No horse will be allowed to start unless duly reg ¬ istered iid named namedAn An owner desiring to change the name of a horse must obtain siiecirl permission from the stewards of the Jockey Club and shall pay the sum of 100 on each change of name to the Fine Fund FundAn An owner may change the name of a horse before Marcli 1 of its twoyearold year without special permission upon payment of 10 to the Fine Fund
