failed in the American Derby at Washington Park Chi ¬ cago which was won that season by E J Bald ¬ wins Silver Cloud the winner also of the Latonia Derby Blue Wing ran second in both of these events 1SS1 when Hindoo won the Derby is the only trainer of the early dnv Derby winners still alive Tho trainers of Aristides Vagrant Kaden Baden Day Star Lord Murphy and Fonso have all passed away Apollo the Derby winner of 188 was trained by K Morris who now owns Console and Kiva at Lexington a pair of performers with which lie was exceptionally successful at Juarez last winter winterWilliam William
