TALBOTT HORSES UNDER SUSPENSION SUSPENSIONRuling Ruling Issued at Pimlico Bars Them from Racing for Present at Least Baltimore Mil May I1 With tin return of warm weather there was a large attendance at Pimlico this afternoon The card was lacking in class but a majority of the races furnished interest ing contests The closest finiUr of the day came with the running of the fifth race a dash of four and a half furlongs for twoyearolds in which Capt 1C 15 CassaltK Spearhead was first home a head in advance of Mr Snlggs Thjs pair fought it out through the homestretch and it was only in the closing stride that Spearhead managed to get his head in front frontBwana Bwana Tiimbo making his first start of the sea ¬ son in the second race showed a splendid per ¬ formance although beaten by Palanquin Bwana Tiimbo carried 12 pounds and showed dazzling speed for live furlongs before lie tired tiredS S W Streett better known on the turf as Doc Streott died at his home in Washington early Mon ¬ day morning lie was a horseman of the old school and was noted for his ability to patch up crippled horses For a number of years he trained a second division of the late James It KeeneJs stable and the prominent horses that he handled included 15ig Ken Port Itoyal and Robin Hood lie owned Galilee which was beaten a nose by Domino in the Futurity S W Streett was Ixmi In Kentucky and started out in life as a school teacher He first became identified with tle turf as an owner of a string of trotters and afterwards turned his attention to the thoroughbreds thoroughbredsThe The stewards this afternoon issued the following ruling In connection with the Wooden Shoes race After investigation of tin running of the geldin Wooden Shoes in the second race of May 3 the stewards find no evidence of fraudulent Intent on the part of jockey Mondon who is therefore relieved of the suspension imposed upon him In that connec ¬ tion Entries of all horses of J O Tallinn will he refused until the stewards are satisfied that they have been wholly freed from the management or iu iience of any person not in good standing upon the rurf The horses affected by this ruling art Sinc tuary Palaininln Monocacy Frank Hudson Hen peck Tarts Syosset Jawbone Republican Mr iob Sir Cleges and Lahore Some of these horses for ¬ merly ran in the name of S A Clopton who is un ¬ der the ban banSeveral Several of the owners of smaller stables have arranged to ship to Montreal to like part in the Dolorimier Park meeting The consignment will be made up of the horses owned by W C Westmore ¬ land C O Heed H D Carter Frank Regan Joe Cooper and George Fraley J G Wagnou shipped his string there several days ago agoWilliam William Shields will send the nine horses he is training for E J McGraw from here to Woodbine They will leave on Wednesday next nextMrs Mrs L A Livingston has obtained first call on jockey Montonr for the Toronto meeting meetingMahubah Mahubah will be thrown out of twining at the conclusion of the Pimlico meeting and will be mated with the Watercress stallion Watcrvale WatcrvaleDave Dave Leary shipped the Kohler horses numbering twentytwo head from Sheepshcad Hay to Rplmont Park this morning Howard Dern the wellknown plater who has been with Ixary all winter left for France a few days ago to join S C Hildreth HildrethForty Forty of the sixty boxes at the Saratoga course have already been reserved and every Indication points to a great summer meeting at the Spa Ap ¬ plication for stalls from a number of western stables have been received by tlio management managementC C U Bryson purchased the twoyearold filly Salvation Nell from Sam Louis this morning The latter has been making an effort to purchase the contract that J J Wagnon holds on jockey Snider and offered 4000 for the lads papers
