began very slowly and closing a big gap was going fastest of all at the end HEAUCOUP saved ground on the stretch turn but tired in the last sixteenth STENTOH made up ground but as usual began slowly swerved just when making his effort HAPENNY swerved all during the race but is said to be one of Belmonts best and is wortU reiaemlcrlug STAUS AND STRIPES finished gamely SMALL ran well Scratched 0755
