CHARLESTON RACING SANCTIONED IN PART PARTSaratoga Saratoga X Y August 9 At a meeting of the stewards of the Jockey Club held at the clubhouse of the Saratoga Association this afternoon there were present August Belmont H K Knapp F R Hitchcock Andrew Miller and S L Parsons They took up the case of jockey J Wilson without ren ¬ dering a verdict but called a meeting for Thurs ¬ day August 15 and Wilson former jockey J Heed Robert Mendelsohn aud others were summoned to ap ¬ pear The application of the Maryland State Fair for the sanction of the Jockey Club for its meeting at Laurel Md from October 1 to 31 was laid on the table tableThe The sanction of the stewards of the Jockey Club was extended to the proposed meeting of the Charleston Fair and Racing Association at Charles ¬ ton S C during the months of December and January and the secretary was instructed to advise the association that Its application for a continuance of the meeting would be considered at a future ineetiusr
