Cassatts Flying Fairy and Humiliation, with which he won at Piping Rock. In the same shipment with the Cassatt horses were Ray o Light and Arlington, which J. P. Slayberry raced at Piping Rock for Frederick Johnson. Armament was also taken back to Laurel from Piping Rock by James Fitzsimmons. At Newmarket, England, October 17. the Sliddle Park Plate of 50 each, with ,000 added, for two-year-olds at three-quarters of a mile, was won by Lord Londonderrys chestnut colt, Corcyra," by Polymelus Pearmaini E. Hultons bay colt, Storli-oway, by Desmond Sisterlike, was second, and Sir John Thursbys bay colt, Keunymore, by John oGaunt Croceum. third. Stcrnoway was the favorite at 5 to 4. while it was 11 to 8 against Corcyra and 50 to 1 on Kennymore. In succession Corcyra had previously won the Redcar Produce Stakes at Redcar, Wynyard Plate at Stockton and the Rous Plate at Doncaster. The Sliddle Park Plate is often called the "Two-Year-Old Derby" and is usually contested by the best youngsters of each year.
