NIXON Is a slow beginner, but gained steadily through the last half and finished fast aiid gaining. AVOODROAV made up ground and easily disposed of the others for third place. FLATBUSH closed a big gap in the last quarter. HARVEST QUEEN quit badly. MISS MOMENTS forced the pace to the stretch turn, where she easily passed the pacemakers and drew away into a long lead in the last sixteenth. HENOTIC finished gamely under punishment and out- stayed UNCLE JIMMIE GRAY for second place. The latter set the pace for the first half, then tired. 1 A.MERICUS ran on tlio inside in the worst of the going all the way. LORD WELLS pulled up lame. PEACOCK ran fairly well only. BATTLING NELSON finished well. STONE- HENCE quit. BEACH SAND began s!owly aiid lost ground by making a wide turn into the homestretch, but finished fast. DEFY closed a big gap and outganied the tiring REY for third place. The latter was made too much use of in setting the pace to the homestretch and gave wav in the final drive. HANS CREEK ran well. Scratched 12052 Clias. F.
