HEARTS OF OAKS DAM DEAD, Toronto, Out, October 24. Jockey Harry Gray lias deserted the GIddlngs stable and is believed to bo at Latonia. Owners and trainers have been warned against giving employment to Gray, who is under a live-years contract to the Oakville stable, with two years of the contract yet to rim. Grays apprenticeship will expire next spriuj and he will then become a full-tledged jockey. He rides now at close to 100 pounds. He is a Toronto boy. Lady Lightfoot, dam of Hearts of Oak, Wire In, War Whoop and other noted Canadian race horses, is dead at the Giddings farm at Oakville. Lady Lightfoot was twenty-four years of age and became suddenly paralyzed. She finally was chloroformed to end her sufferings. Beehive, favorite for the Kings Plate of 1914. is doing well at the Giddings farm. The unbeaten two-year-old champion of 1011! in his daily exercise is always anxious to run. Half Law. another Plate candidate that has shown good "private form, lias been gelded.
