NOTES OF THE TURF. Trainer John Walters has retired G. M. Hendrles crack three-year-old. Great Britain, for the season and is confident that the horse will be in the first ilight of the racing thoroughbreds in this country next season. Trainer W. O. Scully is making his first visit in more than twenty years, to Latonia and is keenly enjoying the- racing now going on at that track, where in other times he raced such noted performers as Hypocrite and White. Allan Pinkerton appears to be one of Fortunes favorites in his dealings with tho. turf. The recent victory of his two-year-old, Andes, in the Piping Rock Subscription Final, worth ,000 to the winner, recalls . that during the spring meeting he was the lucky winner of a 1913.sh,500 hat pool on the outcome of the first of the Piping Rock Subscription races.
