RICH RACES TO CLOSE FOR ENTRIES. Nino stake races of attractive conditions anil values are to close for entries at midnight of next Monday, December 1. These are the important events endowed by the Jockey Club from the Owners Fund pledged last year to assist in the re-es-tabllshmeiit of racing in the state of New York. Only one of them has as yet been assigned a place of running, this being the mile and a quarter race with ,000 added, set aside for State Fair week at Syracuse. The others will probably be divided between the tracks in the vicinity of the city of New-York over which racing will be conducted next vear. with a iKissiliility that one or two of them may be assigned to Saratoga. The formality of naming the stakes has been left to the future and at present tlfe list offered for entries is: For Two-Year-Olds. Race A. with ,500 added; live-eighths mile. Race B. value .53,000 guaranteed; live and one-half furlongs. Race C. with ,500 added; three-quarters mile. Race D, value ,000 guaranteed; three-quarters mile. For Thrco-Ycar-0!ds. Race 15. with 1,500 added; one mile. Race F. value ,000 guaranteed; one and one-eighth miles. Race G, with hB,500 added; one and one-quarter miles. Race H. with ,500 added; one and one-half miles. For Three-Year-Olds and Over. To be run at th6 State Fair, September, 1014, ,000 added; one and one-quarter miles. Western owners are as vitally interested in the restoration and prosperity of New York racing as eastern owners and cannot fail to perceive the importance of the Jockey Clubs action in tendering these richly endowed events as an addition to such stake races as may presently be announced by the organizations to be given the honor of furnishing New York racing in 1014. The terms of the races are described in the advertising department of this issue of Daily Racing Form and call urgently for unstinted entries from all owners of promising thoroughbreds.
