SERENATA showed the most speed anil setting the pace to the stretch, stayed gamely in the closing drive. PENNILESS began slowly, but moved up fast after going the first eighth, then tired and dropped back in the stretch. OLD JORD VN rin fairlv well. The others Were badly outpaced. HENRY HUTCHISON showed speed and tTred slihtlv in the stretch. CHARTIER was outpaced all the way and was probably handicapped by the going BILLY VANDERVEER ran a bad race and can do much better.
