The Sun, In commenting on the Futurity nominations, says: "The total of 527 nominations is larger than has been received for any Futurity since 190S. Many breeders who recognized the futility of nominating tor tlie evept and the lean years since tbe sport was 1 J j J J abandoned in the state, have been encouraged by the fact that the Futurity was held at Saratoga last year for the first time since 1910. That the race will take place in 1915 seems assured and it is not without the bounds of probability that it will be run at its old home at Sheepshead Bay. No intimation of the outlook for the track at tin- Bay could he had from otticcrs of the Coney Island Jockey Club yesterday, but it is understood that the Saratoga Racing Association stands ready to stage the event in ease racing is not resumed at Sheepshead Bay. In addition to the return of many old favorites to the event, there are a number of men new to the sport whose entry into competition has had much to do with the return of racing to opular favor."
