Owing to unsettled conditions prevailing around Mexico City, which may prevent any racing being carried on at the capital this year by the .Mexican Jockey Club, it is likely that Amor Bros, will race a string of horses next winter at Juarez. They have a promising band of seven two-year-olds, all by Mad-dison, a son of Hampton and Democracy, by St. Simon. They have been named and are registered with the Jockey Club. Amor, one of these brothers, frequently rides in the races at .Mexico City and both brothers are enthusiastic horsemen. They will be well received at Juarez next winter in case thev shi: their stable here. Kay Spence carries a .f5.000 policy on his 1!14 Ken-lucky Derby candidate. Hodge, which is daily taking regular training at Juarez. Hodge is an eligible for Ihe Cliapultepec Handicap, set to be run March 1. HpeiHO expects to race llodge here a time or two next mouth to get him ready for his stake engagement. Hodge has spread out greatly since he was shipped here from Kentucky and has improved in muscular development to a marked degree in the last two mouths. He will reach his Derby engagement thoroughly seasoned by his training and racing here, and as a consequence he is expected by good judges at Juarez to give a creditable aceouut of himself in the great three-year-old races of 1!14. Mimorioso. the honest Mazagan gelding which lias raced so well here for S. Velller, closed the season f 1913 with a string of twelve victories to his credit. I To now has a record of 23 wins, having won four races in 1011 as a two-year-old and seven races in HUtl as a three-year-old. Mimorioso lias graduated in Veillers hands from a cheap sprinter to a racer of good class and a performer which now tavs well over a considerable distance of ground.
