FILIGREE WINS A STAKE GOOD-LOOKING DAUGHTER OF ULTIMUS BEATS LA PATRIE AT CHARLESTON, Pardner, After Having Finished Second in Eight Previous Starts, Accounts for Handicap That Serves as Secondary Feature of Card. Bisselis Filigree, a slashing looking daughter of Cltimus and Flycatcher, had the distinction of winning the irst juvenile stake of the season when she scurried nome in advance of four others that started in the Hampton Stakes, worth ,200. Ii Patrie was see-.ind and Lady Reach third. The victory was not a clean-cut one, for La Patrie showed by her running that she was Kiligrces superior. La Patrie ran greenly and the ground she lost on the stretch turn cost her first money. Lady Reach, after having shown good speed, weakened badly, but. held on long enough to beat Idiola, a stable companion to filigree. lueal conditions again prevailed, the weather be-.ng suniuiellike and the track in excellent condition.
