OPPONENTS OF RACING ARE BUSY. Belair, Md., January 23. A public meeting was held here yesterday by persons opposed to race track gambling "in Maryland. Thoa,. present elected Caleb Moore, C. E. Hornberger and J. Lawrence McCor-mick chairman to comprise a committee to draft a bill lo repeal the laws permitting race track gambling in the state. The plan Is to circulate a number of petitions throughout the state and present them with the bill to the Legislature. Sentiment Is divided throughout Harford County eouceming the Havre de Grace race track, and a bitter fight is expected.
