CHURCHILL DOWNS SPRING OFFERINGS. Tim ollielnl announcement of tin stake and purse offerings for the spring meeting of .the New Louisville Jockey Club, which appears on page six of this issue of Daily Racing Form, is of particular interest to horsemen who may be contemplating a campaign over the Kentucky tracks this season and is so attractive that it will doubtless influence some whose plans are as yet indefinite to make Kentucky the scene of their operations. The Kentucky Derby, with its increased value of 0,000 added, should not be overlooked by any owner of a three-year-old with any pretension to quality. Aside from the monetary value of this historic race, the sentiment with which it has been invested makes it a highly desirable race to win. Six other stakes of attractive values and conditions are to be decided during the Churchill Downs spring meeting this vear and horsemen who, depend upon overnight "nurses rather than the winning of stakes will find the nures quite as much of a magnet as the stakes are, for ?G00 added is tp be the minimum purse Y8lH?f j
