MALIK, showing the most early speed, set Fie pace and would have won but for coming a triile wide into the stretch. JEZAIL closed a big gap in the iast quarter, but tired a triile in the final strides. ADA had no mishaps. STELLATA ran poorly and vtas always outpaced. MARTY LOU ran a .good half. JUDGE MONCK closed a gap and tired. KNIGHT OF UNCAS was outrun all tin way. PROSPECT and SEPULVEDA quit after showing early speed. NAPIER set the pace for a good three-quarters and quit. GATY FALLEN quit after going a good half mile. EFFENDI sulked.
