JAMESTOWN PROGRAM BOOK OUT. Norfolk, Va.. March 22. The program book for the first eight days of the spring meeting of the Jamestown Jockey Club, which opens here on April 1 to last 15 days, coming to a close on April 17. lias just been issued by Clerk of the Course and Racing Secretary Joseph McLennan, and has been distributed to the horsemen here, those at Ben-ning and at Palmetto Park. Liberal provision lias been made by Mr. McLenuan in conditioning the various events for the horsemen, increased purses and handicaps practically monopolizing the book. Purses of more than 00, which was the standard offering at previous meetings, are the rule and not the exception. The first days racing, on Wednesday. April 1. will be marked by the running of the Inaugural Handicap, a 500 feature. for three-year-olds and over, at three-quarters of a mile; other "races provide for the debut of some of the smartest two-year-olds which later on will carry the Belmont. Whitney and Wilson colors in the two-I year-old stake events tip the line. -
