He was deemed lo out. lass his opposition, but he was taken into .amp rather handily by Presumption. The latter led all the way and won well in hand. Great Britain was badly outpaced for the first three furlongs, but finally came with a good burst of speed. anil at a longer distance he might have overtaken the winner. He will be benefitted by the race and in future starts should reverse the outcome with Presumption. The mile allowance race was another interesting contest. It was engaged in by such stars as John Gund, Hodge and Boots and Saddle. All three received staunch support, but when it came to ih. running, Korfhage led all the way and web. with utmost ease over John Cmid. with Hodge being driven hard to atoaaM of Boots and Saddle :..r third money. She was nervous at the post and when Starter Morrissey released the barrier she propped and slatted to wheel, but Neylotis alertness prevented this. The others were many lengths in advance of her before she got fully settled in her stride. After the first quarter, she moved up like a streak and picking up her company gradually got to Lady Barbara in the last furlong and beat her home by half a length under a hard drive. White Wool, running kindly, in the closing dash, beat a good, band of platers that included Bonne Chance and V rena. Star ORyan, which in a former start won with the greatest of ease, ruled favorite for this race, but ran disappointingly and quit badly in the stretch. . Cash on Delivery earned his first panne for the Livingston stable when he spreadeagled his oppo sition in the opener. Sandstone furnished a surprise in the second race by winning handily.
