TH0RNHILL IN A SOFT SPOT. Belmont Thrcc-Year-Old Has Easy Time in Scoring — Veteran Donald Macdonald Takes a Purse. New York, June 10. — The Oraml National BteaajM chase Handicap was the main feature of an interesting program which was productive of spirited racing at Belmont Park this afternoon. Kelluf, an added starter, was returned the winner of the Urand Natkmal after Denobscot and Skibbcreeu had raced themselves out in the early stages of the journey. Sklbbereen showed the way until the final quarter, where Denobscot, which had been closest in pursuit, obtained a short lead. After clearing the last obstacle Kelluf. which steadily improved his position, moved up and easily disposed of the tiring Denobscot. The Westbury Handicap went to Isidora after a terrific stretch drive with the favorite. Crossbun. MeCahey outrode the diminutive Sumter at the tinisli and scored by a short margin.
