NOTES OF THE TURF. The stable of S. A. Beckham has been shipped from Vancouver to Dallas. Tex. Harry Payne Whitneys unbeaten filly. Regret, has liecli retired for the season. Clarence Turner will ride for the Belmont stable during the remainder of the season. The body of Bock Sand was presented to tho French Natural History Museum for mounting. Rock View lias fully recovered from the effects of an accident at Belmont Park last summer and will be seen under colors at Laurel. .T. W. Messervy has retired his stable for the M year. Addie M. has a troublesome tendon and trainer George W. Langdon thinks Charlestonian has done well enough. Despite prophecies to the effect that the elimination of bookmakers would settle racing In Western India, the sjiort there Is said to have gone ahead since speculation was restricted to the to-tnllsator Sydney Referee. Brlnghursts recent return to winning form was most pleasing to trainer J. O. Keene. For six months he has been trying to build that speed v gelding up. he having been low in flesh and for a time during the summer Mr. Keene thought he would have to turn him out until, next year, so slow way he iu improving.
