FRONT ROYAL liegan slowlj-, but worked his way up on the outside and, gaining steadiiv, finished last and got up to win in the last stride. BALFRON was rated behind the leaders for the first half, then moved up and took a small lead on the last turn, but tired after disposing of AGNIER. RALPH LLOYD was a forward contender all the way. CALETHUMPIAN finished well. AGNIER quit after leading to the. stretch. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 17590 Mediator, 113. FAIR COUNT was saved in close pursuit of the pacemaker from the start and, moving up on the stretch turn, took the le.-id and drew away to win easing up. MARVELOUS set a fast pace, hut tired after going live-eighths. SLUMBERER eosed a big gap and. finishing fast and gamely, would have been second in another stride. RUSILA also closed a big gap.
