CHARLESTON RACING DATES GRANTED. New York. Ocfolwr 10. At a meeting of the stewards of the Jockey Club held at the oflico of tho chairman, August Helmout, the approval of the stewards was granted to the Charleston Fair and Racing Association to couduct a race meeting at Charleston. S. C. from December 1. 1014; to January 0, 1915. C. H. Pettingill was appointed steward to represent the Jockey Club at this meeting. E. C. Smith was appointed steward lo look after the interests of the oekey Club at the autumn meeting of the Harford Agriculture -and Breeders Association at Havre do Grace. Under the head of new business a number of trainers and jockeys were granted licenses. Among the former were P. Brat-ton. G. W. Scott. James S. OwuIhw, I. Murray, E. Truoman, M. F. Sheedy. Matthew Feakes". J. Stephenson, It. V. Haymaker and C. B. Sprague.
