SUMMER-LIKE WEATHER AT BOWIE. Baltimore. Md., October 10. Summer weather prevailed this afternoon and a large and enthusiastic crowd, taking advantage of the pleasant conditions, journeyed to Bowie. Keen and stirring finishes marked a majority of the races. Guy Burns made his appearance and piloted three mounts, but third was the closest he could get. Lewin ran in the name and interest of a new owner in the sixth race. E. Cautino having fce-cured him from Martin Foley at an auction sale in the paddock just before the first race. Among the others disposed of were llaldeman, Maggies Sister and Surpass. Edward Meliride received word today that jockey Farrlngton. who was held by the immigration authorities at Niagara Falls, will arrive here Monday.
