HAS FAITH IN NEW ORLEANS. Judge Murphy Leaves Crescent City on Missionary Trip in Behalf of Racing: to Bo Given There. New Orleans. La., October 24. Joseph A. Mui-phy left tonight to carry, good news to horsemen racing at the latonia and Maryland tracks. He will have personal interviews with a majority of tinse horsemen and advise theul of the details of the fortv-day race meeting that will lie held at the fair grounds track by the Business Mens Racing Association, starting January 1. "Although several years have passed since a meeting was held 011 either of the big tracks here. I never lost faith and now, as it will be my privilege to -n forth and spread the news, its no wonder Im happy," said Judge- Murphy. During his stay in New Orleans, Judge Murphy has become convinced that the Business Mens Racing Association will see the race meeting through, come what may, and he has mailed nearly 300 letters to horsemen giving them all essential information and inviting them to come here. A representative of the association will also, go to Sherevport next week to see horsemen who participate in the racing during the state-fair. Work on the renovation of the track has begun. A large force will get busy repairing and whitewashing the stables Monday.
