NOTES OF THE TURF. C. T. Patterson has leased the racing qualities of the Ally, Sand Pocket, from J. E. Madden. Jockey McCahey has signed to ride for Glfford Cochran the .coming year. E. C. Smith has leen appointed steward to represent the Jockey Club at the Havre de Grace November meeting. The English Jockey Club has just rescinded its notice of October, 1901. warning jockey Lester Rein" off Newmarket Heath. On recommendation of the license committee, the stewards of the Jockey Club have denied the application of J. Denuison for a jockeys, license. At a recent meeting of the Jockey Club a reciprocal agreement was entered into with the Canadian Racing Associations on the reporting of eases of turf discipline. Foxhall Keene promises to show his colors again next season. Recently a partnership was registered between Mr. Keene and Audrew Miller in the yearling Biennan, to be raced ill - the. name of Mr. Keene. The colors will be the "white and blue polka dots" that have so long played such au im-lKirtant part on the American turf.
