FIVE STAKES OPENED AT DENVEE Denver Colo April 8 General Manager W YV Finn of the Colorado State Fair iiiul Racing Asso ¬ ciation announced today that reservations had been made for 75 horses that will come from Juarez for the summer meeting at Overland Park beginning Tune 12 and continuing for twenty days to and in ¬ cluding July 5 Resides some seventy horses will come from Montana and iilxmt forty from Wash ¬ ington and Oregon while a few are expected from Maryland Two carloads hav already arrived from New Orleans and one from Havana HavanaSix Six or more races will be run each day during the meeting with 25o as the minimum purse value Overnight handicaps of the value of S100 will be provided to suit the horses in attendance Five stakes with a total guaranteed value of 0400 have been opened to close June 1 They are as follows followsOpening Opening Handicap for tllreeyearohls and over 1200 1200Colorado Colorado Derby for threeyearolds 2X0 2X0Denver Denver City Handicap for threeyearolds and over 1200 1200Juvenile Juvenile Handicap for twoyearolds 1000 1000Independence Independence Handicap for threeyearolds and over 1200 1200The The outlook is for one of the most successful meetings ever held here
