PROMINENT AUSTRIAN OWNER PASSES ON Count Louis Trauttmansdorff the wellknown Austrian race horse owner is reported l have died suddenly at the front in Polish Galicia of lieart failure In Germany his horse Niimiuam Dormio ivou hie Jubilee Prize at Hamburg Horn in 3002 and with Con Vmore two years later he Avon the German Derby and also the Austrian Derby With these and other horses Count Trautts mandorn won many important races on the Hat in AustriaHungary and under jumping rules he scored iu a number of steeplchascs of high class bv aid of Nngommory which carried off the Great Vienna Summer Steeplechase three years running Born in March 1803 Cmmt Louis was fora number of years an active meber of the Austrian Jockey Club His horses prior to his retirement from the ranks of owners in 1909 were trained by the English trainer Herbert Reeves
