WILL BUILD NEW TRACK AT SYRACUSE SYRACUSEAlbany Albany N Y April 22 iMcmbers of the State Fair Commission held a conference with Lieutenant Governor Schocneel who is an oxotlicio member of the commission The purpose of the meeting was to discuss a possible appropriation of 70000 to lie used for the construction of a new race track on the Fair Grounds at Syracuse Lieutenant Govern r Schociiock who his charge of the racing features of the fair and who is an enthusiastic horseman said that lie had the assurance that they would bo successful in securing the amount of money desired for this purpose The present location of the track he said was not desirable and greatly inter ¬ fered with the construction of some of the large buildings buildingsWhile While the present track is in good shape the com ¬ missioners have decided to change its location and make other improvements that will establish it as one of the foremost race tracks in tho country It is planned to begin this work next fall soon aftor the Grand Circuit mooting in September The new track will be completed for the race meeting in connection with the fair of 1910
