SENATOR CAMDEN IN LUCK ONE STEP WINS HIS FIRST RACE OF THE FALL CAMPAIGN FOR HIM. Usecit Wins at Long Odds and Is Bid Up— Dick Williams and Slceth Among the Winners — Punishment for Erring Jockeys. Camdens colon were allied to victory for the tirst time this fall on a Kentucky course when One Step accounted for the mile race for three -year-old fillies. She scared over Hanoviu. with Floota-helle heading the others. One Step was lucky in escaping the crowding, which caused several of the others to shorten their strides when closely groaped. Water Witch, which ran unplaced in the race, was worked out an additional ball mile, going the distance In 2:34% In preparation for her expected start in the Louisville Cup. Weather and track c.uiditions were lierfect and the attendance was the liest of the present meeting. Speculation also showed an increase over former days. The disappointment of this rate was First Degree, which Jockey Acton seemingly took out of contention when going well at the half-mile ground. Lady Botha was an absentee from the fourth race, having been excused by the stewards following a mile runaway this morning. Emily U. was bought by E. B. Parsons fr m P. J. Millett.
