JUAREZ RACINGS SAFETY ASSURED. Laurel. Md.. October 20.— President M. J. Winn of the Jockey Club Juarez, who built the track at Juarez. Mexico, and who has so successfully managed every meeting that has been held there since its construction in 1!»0!». was in no way alarmed today over the publication e f ruperta that there would 1m- no racing there this winter. lie said that the Jockey Club Juarez enjoyed a t win tv-y car concession granted by former President Hiaz and that there have been like announcements made before by the party in power. Hie racing has continued through ever- change in government and he saw no reason why it weatld not continue this year without interference. This concession has always lieen recognized and he said he had no notification, whatever that it would not be recognized by the present administration. He intimated that the threat to close up the track could never have come from President Carran-za himself and he is so confident that the sport will not be in any manner molested that today telegrams were sent assuring horsemen that their shipping ex-lenses would lie paid to the Mexican track. The Jockey Club Juarez paid a handsome sum for It; concession and. like all other long time concessions, it is a source of considerable revenue to the government. Other concessions have gone through the troublous times unaffected and there are none within the confines of Mexico that are more closely safeguarded than that enjoyed by the Jockey Club Juarez.
