Fernand David, the French Minister of Agriculture, presided last week at a meeting of the Con-seil Superieus des Haras, which approved the suggested modifications to the present law regarding ; the exportation of blood stock to countries of the I allies and to merica. The grievance of French race ketaa and stud farm owners is that all ex- j portation K forbidden, even of two-yeHr-olds and rearlings unless as army remounts. This meeting • advied that exportation be authorized to the countries of the allies to the Inited States and South America of thoroughbred yearlings and two year- • olds and of stnlTons born in 1007 or previously. which had served stud for three years and won a minimum of 30 000 francs 1915.sh.0 i0 in racing prizes. • Formal adoption of these proposals by the Ministers will soon be announced.
