EQUINE ARISTOCRATS ARRIVE IN SAFETY. New York. NovciiiIkt 24. — A. K. Macombers horses arrived bees Kngland today in the Lancastrian, after a trip that lasted eighteen days. Considering the length of time on the ocean, ev-y horse looked remarkably well and were u.issed by the .health officers and Dr. K. W. McCully. Quite a number of prominent horsemen were at the dock, including vre i rick JohnRon. who inqKirted eleven yearlings, reecntlv liought for bint by Charles T. Patterson. Samuel Boss of Washington. J said Mr. Johnson, as the line looking bay two-yenr -old was led past the crowd. "I think he was the fourth best colt in England this year, though am told The Cock, a colt by Poussin, is quite C as good if not better. They are a fine lot of horses and. if present looks are a criterion. Mr. Macotuber yvill cut quite a figure iu racing next year." Seers breeding establishment in 1 England and he left with them tonight for Aiken, t where they will be prepared for their engagements 1 next year. 1 The eleven iuiix.rted yearlings owned jointly by C. K. !. Billings and Frederick Johnson, have been 1 shipped to Curls Neck Farm in Virginia, which was purchased by Mr. Billings a short time ago | for breeding and educating trotters and thorongn- hreds. Besides the yearlings there were four two- , year-olds in the shipment. Top o the Morning was also sent to Virginia, with the bare possibility he will stand training after having bowed a tendon. Cock o" the Walk, the winner of many races for Mr. Johnson, has been retired to the stud in Ken- ■ tucky. i ___
