Disturbers Disqualification Not Cordielly Received — Many Bowie Horses Scheduled for Havana-Several Horses Bring Good Prices in Sale. Baltimore. Md.. November 24. — The Capitol Handicap, todays feature at Bowie, turned our to lie ana of the best races run during the meeting and provided a stirring finish, iu which W. L. Rivers Ke-wessa managed to get up in the closing stride to beat Back Bay by a nose. The race was a dash of three-quarters of a mile and it brought together the licst sprinters on the grounds. Kewessa was clear. y best and but for an accident at the start would have won easilv. Just as the barrier was sprung Robert Bradley swerved to the outside, knocked Kewcs-a completely off his stride and forced Turner to nasi him up. The mishap f reed Turner to go to the outside and Kewessa ran a long way farther tli.m the others to get up. Near the tiuish he closed up with a rush while the leaders were tiring. The disqualification of Disturltcr. winner of the opening race, was unpopular, judging from the unfavorable comment.; on the action of the officials. There was some interference at the sixteenth past in which Margery was bumped. Some dnsa observers claimed that her riders temerity was as much, responsible for the pulling up of his mount as anything else. At all events Disturber, which was last to leave the post and closed a tremendous gap. was set back and the change in the placing gave Important first money. Margery second and Tribolo third.
