FAST RUN RACE IN ARGENTINA. I see from "El Jockey" Buenos Aires that Bridge of Canny has come by further posthumous honors through his Ihree-year-old son, Fieacero. which in the last days of November carried off the valuable Premio Coniparacion. a nee over one mile and three furlongs, which was worth 5,000 to the winner. The champion. Oeurrencia, was only third, beaten four lengths by the winner, but the former has had a busy season and had already won ten races 1 worth nearly 80,800, or roughly 36.000 sovereigns, and horses, like men, require a rest, the more especially in countries like the Argentine Republic, where they race all the year round. Pica-cere, has now won five events of the value of about 0,600, and he stays well, as did most of he hones Bridge of Canny got here before being sent to South America in 1911. where he died early in 1914 at the early age of eleven years. In Cantilever Bridge of Canny sired a really high-class animal and Canzone. Flying Bridge. Millbridge and Bridge of Orchy were other useful winners by hiss. Pieaceros time for the mile and tiiree furlongs was good. 2:17%, for the record here for the distance was less than a second better. Dean Swift having taken 2:16% in winning the Liverpool Cup. in the same race another year Long Set took 2:16%, while Bachelors Button and Chaucer occupied less than a Second more over the same track. The best time lor the distance in AastraUs is 2:19 and in the States 2:17%. — "Vigilant" in London Sportsman.
