CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURE. Many improvements are being made at the Empire City track at Yonkers. Reports come from New Orleans that Dartworth i- not showing as much soreness in his work as formerly. 1.. J. Albright has leased the racing qualities of the horses Beau Ormonde and Favour from Joseph M. Macdonough of California. The clors A. J. Joyner has selected are those under which his horses raced in England. They are white, orange belt and orange cup. The application of P. Kelleher for a steeplechase jockeys license has been tabled by the executive committee of the National Stepelechase and Hunt Assnojation pending investigate n. Norton Inze. for thirty five years assistant superintendent at the Sheepsbead Hay race track, has been appointed snperintedent of the Laurel track in Maryland and has taken up his duties there. The Fair Grenada track at New Orleans has been 1 scraped and rolled so constantly of late that its surface is exceptionally hard and some of the cases of soreness in the acnes racing over it are attributed to that circaatstaace. The two-year-olds owned jointly by A. II Morris. It. I. Walden and R. W. Walden. which are to be raced in the name of Mr. Morris, include Bittersweet. Infer. Wild Thyme. Thistle Queen, .Marseillaise. Dclos, Piraeus. Lord Pita Herbert and Nepotism.
